Galatians 6:7-8

Galatians 6:6–7 proclaims a solemn and undeniable truth: God is not mocked. God is neither deceived by religious words nor impressed by verbal confessions of faith that are not followed by a holy life. What a man sows, he will inevitably reap. There are no exceptions, no hidden privileges, and no religious cover that allows one to escape this divine law.

Whoever commits sin, whether in thought, imagination, word, attitude, or action, is sowing to the flesh. And sowing to the flesh leads to corruption, judgment, and condemnation. Sin is never neutral, never harmless, and never without consequence. God judges man in his entire being, including what is hidden, inward, and unseen by others.

The grace of God was never given to tolerate sin or excuse it. Grace offers man the power to abandon his sins once and for all, definitively and without return, and to live a life of righteousness and holiness every day, without ever sinning. To use grace as a justification to continue in sin is to mock God, and Scripture declares clearly that such mockery will not go unanswered.

Galatians 6:7 destroys the illusion of a “security” based on faith while continuing in sin. God cannot be deceived. A life sown to the flesh will reap destruction; a life sown to the Spirit will reap eternal life, through constant obedience, a purified conscience, and uncompromising holiness.

This passage powerfully reminds us that daily righteousness, holiness without sin, and the total abandonment of evil are not optional, but constitute the only path consistent with the truth of the Gospel. Any other path is deception — and God is not mocked.
